Natural provides a wide range of objects that can be used to build
applications. Some of these objects can be more easily adapted and used in
a
multi-platform distributed application than others. In this presentation
we
will discuss some of the issues in preparing your Natural application for
distributed use. Topics such as maps and processing rules, effective use
of
subprograms and dual-usage applications will be addressed.

communication language or protocol of the Internet and within private
networks. As TCP/IP has become more integrated into the mainframe
environment a basic understanding of what it is and how it works is more
important. This presentation will cover the basics of TCP/IP and include
such topics as managing messages using packets, the key layers, routing,
and
how TCP/IP uses the client/server model for communication.
