Results Of Questions To Dan Webster , SAG Denver Support , At Our March Meeting.

I want to follow-up on the Servline24 questions that were raised during my
presentation at the New England User Group meeting earlier this month.  I
would appreciate it if you could distribute this to those who attended the
 meeting.

?- why is there a 30 second timeout?

The only timeout we are aware of is 5 minutes in the Request
Management section, not 30 seconds.  The current design for Servline24
holds resources on the Server while a new request is entered.  If this
limit was not imposed, the server might get overloaded by users who drop
sessions and never complete their session or signoff.  Quest behaved the
same way, with regard to the timeout.

? - how to get access to documentation without going into the secured
 area?

We will investigate this a bit further to see if there is any change
that could be implemented.  There is an alternative, for those who only
wish to access documentation via Servline24.
     - there is a documentation only ID. A customer can register for such
an id on SL24 and there is a Documentation Only section, they will need to
 mark that box.

? - department id's / pswds - for use by multiple users simultaneously (not
 necessarily unique?

We have no control over users coming and going from departments or
companies and with generic ids there is no control and no way to secure
the ids.  We can only work with contacts that have purchased the
maintenance.  Our resources are limited so we want to reserve our time and
efforts for these identified customer contacts.
